Hi Dimitris,

So after speaking with my boss today, he said that 
any software that will be installed on the lab 
computer will need to be purchased and installed 
through UCS. That is just our policy. If you 
purchase web based software that is logged into 
through an online platform, then you won't need 
UCS intervention. As far as admin rights go, at 
this time I have not been given permission to add 
it on the instructor station. If you would like 
applications removed, you can provide us a list 
and we will remove any unwanted apps. If you do 
end up purchasing software through UCS(we have a 
couple vendors we usually work with for discounted 
rates), we are more than happy to help install and 
properly license that software for you.

We are more than happy to remove any unwanted 
software per your request. Just give us a list of 
things to remove and we will handle that.

As far as new software goes, I believe anything 
new will need to be vetted by our security team 
before it's purchased and approved.  Then for 
installation we can come out and make sure it is 
installed and configured properly.

We very rarely give admin rights on instructor 
stations and prefer to aid in any changes made to 
them.

Can I inquire what the admin rights request is 
related to?

We usually don't give admin rights on instructor 
stations but we are happy to help install some 
kind of software if that's what is needed.
