Hi Christopher,

I need some additional information regarding service request #85032

Description: Document camera not turning on.

Apologies for not getting to this during class session, I was installing network switches in the new education center.

I took a look just now and the culprit was the power cord as well as HDMI cord in the back of the doc camera. Because the cords typically have just enough space, sometimes when they are put up or down it is enough to pull the cords out of their respective spots.

If this happens again, you are welcome to try opening the back of the doc cam (there is a slide down window to view the cords) and re plug them in (HDMI has to be on HDMI out).

As well, I see that the computer is displaying to the monitor on the instructor station without opening the crestron panel up and setting the monitor's input as the computer.

If the crestron panel was off, and the document camera wasn't told to display to the projector, it would not have displayed.

Let me know if it is a problem in a future class and we can take a look again.

I'm in ITC 301 - I'll be here for this next hour,
but I don't think anyone needs to come right this
minute unless it's convenient - i'll be teaching in
here for the next 50 minutes

Of course! What building and room are you in? And
what is a good time that works for a tech to head
out there?

i can't get behind the computer to check
looks like i need a key to open it
i was able to feel behind the PC though and it
does feel like there is stuff connected
is it possible to send someone up here to check it
out? I think I'm fine without it today, but on
I'm doing something where I know I'll need it
on Monday**

The USB should be connected to the Document Camera
and then connected to the computer being used.

underneath the desk?

Go ahead and try pressing and holding the button.
If this doesn't work it might be that the USB cord
is not connected to the camera.

Good morning Chris, When you pressed the ON button
did a green light pop up? Sometimes it can take a
minute.

Hey there! I am having a hard time figuring out
how to get the document camera turned on in ITC
301
i "opened" it and that usually automatically turns
it on, but nothing happened
so then I tried pressing the power button but
still nothing
do you know how I can turn it on?
