Note that 64 bit version of dotnet doesn't have x86
on it and needs to be above x86 to work!!

To fix: On Windows Search for (Advanced system
settings) then go to Environment Variables, in
System Variables, look for PATH and move dotnet up
from the dotnet x86 and visual studio should be able
to open projects

Jack and I went over to check on ITC 311 Lab and
eventually found that moving the 64 bit version of
dotnet resolves the issue and Windows tries to use
the 32 bit version and breaks

I had a ticket with Brady to install Visual Studio
in ITC 311. My students are still experiencing
issues. Can I schedule a time to meet Brady to fix
everything?

Okay, I'll see if I can get the sdk to move to the
x64 program files and hopefully that will resolve
the issue. The laptop is almost done. We are
currently working on getting the correct antivirus
on the computer. We hope to have it done by the end
of today.

Thanks,

-Brady

The students get an error when they attempt to run
their code so I’m not sure. None of the computers
work. They get an error every time.

Did you get the laptop completed?? That’s for the
same class I’m having problems with in ITC 311.

I’ll be on campus tomorrow 12-3 if you can stop by.
Thanks!!!

Hi Allison,

I need some additional information regarding service
request #85124

Description: .NET Framework installed on student
computers

I was reviewing this ticket and was curious if the
dotnet sdks were not working on the lab computers.
They are installed, it looks like it installed them
in the x86 program files.

Let me know if they're not working,

-Brady
