I need some additional information regarding service request #85288

Description: Staff Office Computer Replacement

Given the age of this desktop, a GFA replacement should be in order if you submit a purchase request at wou.edu/purchaserequest . Depending on if a mac or PC is requested, it can take a week or so to fulfill and get to you once you put the request in and it gets approved.

Hello,

I work in MNB 132 for my office and I have noticed over the past few years that my 
computer will get really laggy, freeze, or take much longer than normal to boot 
up/open programs.  The asset tag is 20171076[Edit Inv]. I was just curious if it was possible 
to get the desktop upgraded/replaced or for someone to defrag it (I tried but it 
wouldn't let me).  In the spring, it would bind up while I was teaching on zoom and 
freeze for 2-5 minutes at a time which is why I'm curious if something can be done 
to prevent that from happening. Everything is stored on the network so I know that 
memory issues aren't the cause. This has been the same computer that I have had 
since starting as a NTT.  Normally I was 1, occasionally 2 classes a term so it 
wasn't as big of an issue but now I am full time. If you have suggestions for 
things that I can try, please let me know!
