microphone in room works, but not for the computer / zoom access. It is hooked up to the speakers in the room for the sake of presentation and amplifying the presenter's voice.

Explained this to Chelsee, and advised if they wanted a microphone solution in the room for zoom, they could email Nathan and get his advice.

Hi Chelsee,

Description: Santiam Smart Console microphone not working

Dyllan and I were checking on the Santiam room earlier today and we think we found the problem you were referencing; the microphone is not visible through the computer for things like zoom. I believe that is currently how the room is configured - the microphone is synced up to the speakers for the sake of presentations within the room itself and not over the computer through zoom.

The microphone was working for that purpose, and we found that there was a little red on button on the base / bottom of the microphone in order to turn it on first.

In terms of getting a microphone setup that may work for the room, I would recommend emailing Nathan Sauer (sauern@mail.wou.edu) about possible options that may work for you.

For the time being, I will close the ticket and can always reopen it or make a new one if need be.

Greetings,

The WUC Santiam room 20180986[Edit Inv] computer does not 
have a microphone that works. We tried to do a 
zoom call and it said the microphone was not 
available.
I did the updates from last night and checked this 
morning with no change.

ASTRA is up to date on when the Santiam room is 
being used.
