please disregard the OMNIGO SOFTWARE email. It was
pasted by accident.

****This is an incoming email****

Greetings,
I will be in my office from noon to 1:45 today,
and can be back again at 4. I’m actually here
now, if anyone is available. I have a class to
teach at 10, but I’m here until then.

I think there’s a simple solution to the problem
I’ve been having: I don’t want a large monitor.
I never asked to have one and I have no use for
it. If there’s a way to allow me to connect the
laptop I’m using to the campus network without the
giant monitor, that would be best, from my
perspective.

Thanks for helping.

Hi Michael,
I just have a question, our Omnigo software system
has been slow the last few days. Do you know if
somehow we need to update it? Please let me know
if you have any information on this or if I should
reach out to the Omnigo help desk.

Hi Kenneth,

I need some additional information regarding service
request #86348

Description: computer malfunction--cursor would
appear in random screens during Zoom meetings

I wanted to get some more information before we
reimage your computer. When you're on zoom, are you
sharing your screen? Is there anything specific
happening before your mouse cursor disappears?

Thanks,

-Brady

Okay, if that's what is needed. But this computer
is practically brand new, and it was issued to me
just in December.

Here's a question: Is it possible for me to get a
hub to use that is not attached to a monitor? I
really don't need the bigger monitor, so that
might be a simpler solution for the problem I've
encountered.

Thanks for taking the time to help work this out.

Good morning

It sounds like your computer will need to be
reimaged. We can set you up with a loaner in the
meantime. When could we come out and give you a
temporary laptop so we can work on your current
one.

Thanks

The interface between the laptop I've been issued
and the large monitor I've been told I have to use
as a hub for connecting to campus systems is not
functioning correctly. When I'm on a zoom meeting
at random times the cursor for the laptop only
appears on the larger screen. To fix this I have
to restart the laptop, which interrupts my
participation in whatever meeting I'm in.

So, once again, my usual message: things regularly
fail to work, and I would very much like them to
work. Is any help available?
