Hi Andy,

We were just emailing you regarding a service request that we have for you. (#86754)

Chromebook Network Connection

I am working with facilities to install an external wireless access point on the west side of the intramural restroom/concession building. I think the access point in the center of that building is just not strong enough to get a consistent signal.

I don't have a time frame on when it will be installed. Some of that is out of my control.

Thanks,
Paul Lambert

Could anything else be causing this? We've never
had this issue from that location before. Over
the weekend is when the problem first occurred and
we tried moving to different spots on the turf and
the problem remained the same.
I haven't had a chance to try what you are
suggesting, but just wanted to mention that
addition info.

Hi,

When you're out on the field you might be between
access points. If you go to your wifi and click on
WOU Guest, you should be able to click Forget This
Network and it will stop jumping between networks.

Best,
Allie

Hi Again.
So it seemed to connect in my office but when we
brought it out to the turf field (which is where
we use it most frequently), we were unable to
connect again.
We couldn't load go.com as we could establish a
connection to the internet unfortunately.
What we are experiencing is shown in the attached
video. It seems to start to connect to WOU Secure
but then it doesn't and instead switches to try to
connect to WOU Guest. And this just goes back and
forth.
We need to be able to connect out at the turf for
a variety of events help out there so any support
you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Is that a Disney site? I just want to make sure
I'm on the right page.
It didn't prompt me to sign in but it does appear
to be connected now. I had restarted the computer
as well so maybe that also helped.

Good morning Andy,

You might have to open a web browser and access
Go.com. From there it should prompt you to input
your Username and password where you can then sign
in.

Best,
Mary

Hello,

We're having trouble connecting our department's
Chromebook to the network. It seems to recognize
the network but nothing happens when we try to
connect.
Can someone help us out with this?
Thanks
The number for this Chromebook is: 20170705[Edit Inv]
