We put in an adapter and connected ethernet which got it to work.
The H drive should stay installed now

****This is an email****
You stated "Hi Chris, you should be able to re-map
your H-drive
using the instructions on the "remote access" page
here: https://wou.edu/tech/remote-
access/#networkdrives"

This has been tried and works temporarily but then
stops working.

You stated "If you are logging onto your laptop at
home, this
might be causing your H-drive to disconnect."

I am not logging into my computer remotely.

Can someone please come by to see what the problem
is?

Hi Christopher,

We were just following up with you regarding a
service request that we have for you. (#87162)

Description: H drive

Hi Chris, you should be able to re-map your H-drive
using the instructions on the "remote access" page
here: https://wou.edu/tech/remote-
access/#networkdrives

If you are logging onto your laptop at home, this
might be causing your H-drive to disconnect.

Thanks,

Hello Christopher, I'm from UCS. I was looking through your SR
about your H drive issue. I was wondering if there was a good time
I could come by and take a look at it?

Hello:

I have tried to shut down my computer and re-log
in several times but it has not changed anything.
The H-drive that I have always used has been named
H (see attachment below, in particular under the
Videos section). I would appreciate it if you
could please send a tech to room 116 at the SHCC
to correct this issue as soon as possible. I need
documents stored on the H-Drive.

Thanks,

Chris SIlva

Good afternoon Christopher,

If a tech has not reached out to you yet. It seems
as though H drives (Home Drives) are an automated
process. Try and relog, H drives also do not have
the (H:) label and instead will be your username.

Best,
Mary

H drives (home drives) are an automated process.

Have Christopher try and relog. Double check he understands that the drive will be his username.
H Drives don't have the (H:) label.
