Adobe CC and Adobe Acrobat has been reinstalled via
Zoom call. Everything seems to be working fine, if
she needs more help I told her to reach back out.

Hello Madeline,
I'm from UCS and was looking over your service request. I've
looked at your device and it doesn't appear that as of now I can
remote into it so I will need to set up a zoom call with you so that
we can try to get this all fixed for you! I'm available on Tuesdays,
Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:30 - 4pm PST. Do you have any
availability on those days?
Sincerely,

Ok, now I'm stuck on step 6-7. I have downloaded
the Adobe Installer from the Portal. It has
finished downloading but it just shows as a
"Adobe_pc.zip" file. And I cannot find a Creative
Cloud application on my computer. What do I do
with this zip file to make it Installed/Open as an
app on my computer?

Thanks again

Hello!

Thank you for these details as to how to remove
and then download the new version of Adobe.

In steps 1 and 2, you mention the Acro Cleaner
tool and then removing Creative Cloud - it says
"Use this link to download and run the Adobe CC
Cleaner tool" - but there is no link here.

I want to be sure I'm following the correct
steps/instructions, as this is a little more tech
work than I feel comfortable with. Could you
please send me the link that you're referencing in
step 2?

Thanks!
Maddie

Here at the steps to properly remove the
dysfunctional Adobe install.

1. First run the AcroCleaner tool.
2. Next remove Creative Cloud as well. Use
this link to download and run the Adobe CC Cleaner
tool, follow instructions below under CC Cleaner
instructions) You have to unzip the download, it
is a slow download. Run the setup.exe in the Build
folder. It is inside a couple Adobe folders.
Here is how to use the CC cleaner:
            CC Cleaner instructions, Press enter
after each command:
1. E for English
2. Y for yes
3. 1 for All
4. Largest number (depends on the number of
Adobe apps installed) for Clean All
5. Y for yes
3. Open Add/Remove Programs and uninstall
Adobe Genuine service and every other Adobe
Application
4. Navigate to the C:/ drive and show hidden
folder, Open Program data and delete the entire
Adobe folder, Back under the Main C: drive open
Program Files and delete the Adobe folder, then
back under C: drive open Program Files X86 and
delete the Adobe folder.
5. Restart the computer once completed
6. If you already have the new Adobe
installer downloaded, use that. If you don’t have
the installer, log in to the portal and download
and reinstall Adobe. The download takes a while to
complete and the install takes 20+ minutes to
complete. *
7. After Creative cloud finishes installing, go
ahead and open the app. If it stays stuck on a
black screen, you may have to restart your
computer. You will have to login to Creative Cloud
with your portal credentials and a DUO push.
8. Next open Acrobat from within the creative
cloud if it shows as installed, otherwise click to
install Acrobat.
9. Update Acrobat from Menu>Help>Check for
updates
10. In the creative cloud, redownload any apps
you need.

If you need any help with these steps please let
me know

Best,
Allie

Hi,

We do still use adobe and its products. Below is a list of steps to
fully clear out adobe and reinstall the newer version. Please follow all
the steps as it is crucial to delete all folders of adobe or it will not
work in the future.

Hi there,

I am a remote employee using my WOU laptop - I
have always been able to convert files (and edit
them) with Acrobat Adobe. I typically need to
export an Excel Spreadsheet to a PDF in order to
submit my Employee Mileage Reimbursement.

Tried converting the file today and it says I need
to upgrade in order to do so? Is this an
application that is still supported by WOU for
employee use? Do I need to be logged in somewhere
or need to download something new in order to use
it again? Or do I need to find another way to
convert my files?

I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Best,
