Hi Michael, I'm over here with the UCS student tech team. I've
been working with Sharon Price on an issue she has been having
with her F4 button not doing what it previously did prior to
updating to Windows 11. Gabe led me to you to ask if you could
help her out as far as potentially being over her shoulder to lead
her to a solution? The ticket number is 87417. Thank you for your
time!

to me

Ian,

F4 in Banner Admin is the “Copy” feature. The hotkey
still works, the process may be a little different though if they’ve
been using Banner for a long time. Back in Banner 8 you had to
Insert a row (F6) before you could Copy (F4). That’s no longer
necessary, Copy will do both now and won’t work if you try to
Insert first. A bit more info than needed. What is important to
know here is that we’ve been on Banner 9 for years, so nothing
has changed recently. Even better to know is that the Copy, Insert,
etc functions are also available on the page top right and are more
reliable these days than the hot keys.

Please follow up with them. If we need someone to
watch over their shoulder and provide feedback/troubleshooting,
feel free to pull in Mike Soukup (on vacation today) or Shea
Hawes.

Thanks,

Hey Gabriel,
I'm working with Sharon Price and she is having trouble with
Banner and specifically the program SGAADVR. When accessing
terms, normally she would be able to put in a term. She would then
go to the student screen and if it's not the term that was originally
inputted you could press F4 to move to the correct term without
duplicating the record. Right now when she puts in the current
term if the record hasn't been updated, then she can only change
the last term that it was updated. Her current SR is 87417. David
asked me to reach out to you to see if you had thoughts.
Sincerely,

States that when she was in Banner prior to update that f4 used to let
her switch from whatever year she was on with her program to the
current year. F4 no longer seems to do that.

Lowered resolution on the laptop and it seemed to fix the issue of
flickering screen. Redownloaded green shot. Set up a quick
command of ctrl + g to use green shot.

Sharon,

We can have a tech come out to you and take a
look. Where are you located? What is a good time
and day for a tech to come and visit? Please let
me know.

Best,
Mary

Hello UCS,

My computer had Windows 11 downloaded and returned
to me yesterday - it is now "blinking" at me. We
thought it was maybe the docking station cord, but
I took it to a meeting in our conference room and
it continued to blink every so often. Is there
possibly another solution?

And yesterday a tech was here and tried to fix my
Green Shot - finally ended up uninstalling it.
David had helped me with it the last time it had
an issue. I am using the snipit program, but oh
my how I would love to get my Green Shot back
operational.

Thank you,
Sharon
