WEBVTT 00:00:11.000 --> 00:00:19.000 I decided to attend WOU because I heard about it at a college fair and it just seemed like a really nice campus and it had all the classes I needed. 00:00:21.000 --> 00:00:27.000 What I like most about WOU is the small class size and now the new Health and Wellness Center. 00:00:28.000 --> 00:00:33.000 What I really like about this school is that it's not that big of a school 00:00:33.000 --> 00:00:38.000 so all the students can get the opportunities they want to try and get out of their college experience here. 00:00:40.000 --> 00:00:48.000 Some of the experiences that you gain living in a dorm is you tend to have more freedom from being at home. 00:00:49.000 --> 00:00:56.000 You get to make your own choices, your own rules, but you also have to socialize and learn to live with other people around you still. 00:00:57.000 --> 00:00:66.000 I lived in a dorm my freshmen year and some of the experiences I gained were friendships that I made. 00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:11.000 I am seriously still best friends with the girls that I lived with. 00:01:12.000 --> 00:01:19.000 I spend a lot of time hanging out in our living room area. We have a TV set up out there. We can play video games, play board games. 00:01:20.000 --> 00:01:27.000 We actually invented a new game that we call bottles where we throw quarters at bottles. We try to get all the bottles on one end of the table. 00:01:28.000 --> 00:01:37.000 I would suggest to freshmen that they need to like different clubs. There's, like, many clubs. You could start your own if you wanted to. 00:01:38.000 --> 00:01:41.000 There's something for everyone. 00:01:40.000 --> 00:01:48.000 I suggest the freshmen to get involved by applying to the SEP program and then applying to the summer bridge. 00:01:49.000 --> 00:01:54.000 And then after that it's just like a given and you start getting involved. 00:01:54.000 --> 00:01:61.000 I suggest going to the games whether it's a basketball game or a football game. Go and interact with the people. 00:02:02.000 --> 00:02:06.000 The people that you meet here in college are going to be the people that you know throughout the rest of your life.
