I was contracted to paint a mural that represented diversity on this campus and they kind of gave me a few

themes they kind of wanted or just some things to include.

I basically drew it all first, added color, they liked it and said, "yeah,

come paint it for us." I've done a lot of

graffiti art, that's my background in art. So, usually, I do a lot of spray painting for murals.

This is the first time I've ever done this large scale of a acrylic painting this big

and so it took me about 5 times longer than I anticipated. This has taken me over 100 hours.

So essentially, the theme of this mural is, "Land Back" and, "Black Liberation,"

as you can see, it's right in the center. Everything around it kind of represents that struggle.

And so I believe that, "Land Back" and, "Black Liberation" are the two keys. I'm calling this mural, "The Two Keys"

because I believe that if our world leaders and people in power could focus

all of their energy and resources, and divert it into getting land back in indigenous people
