It was incredible as an opportunity for us to be able to host everybody again this year.

And it was just so wonderful to see all these people advocating for higher education.

It's important to bring our mascots along because it shows that

we have solidarity even between something as simple as our college symbols.

And it's important for Western Oregon to participate today in lobbying day

because we are the neighbors right next door to the capitol and we're only about

to be able to talk to them about needs that our college students have.

My goal today was to get legislators to vote on House Bill 4162.

It's important because I'm using that as a way

to pay for the community garden space that we have on our campus.

It'll also help start the programing of composting again at WOU.
