My name is Miguel Gonzalez. I'm from Salem, Oregon. I will be graduating this June with a Masters of Science in rehabilitation and health counseling.

I first came to Western I was very intrigued by the location, by the size of the classroom and having the attention with faculty members

Being able to also see all the resources that were available to me to be successful in my undergraduate degree.

I was also very interested along with that with having the opportunity to play football here at a division II level.

I decided to stay here for my graduate degree here because being an undergraduate student I was intrigued by the rehabilitation and mental health counseling program

I knew that it was a great program for me, another benefit of being a graduate student here at Western Oregon is that I am to take an internship course.

I am doing my internship here at the Student Health and Counseling Center which requires me to work with the Counseling Director here at the Student health and Counseling Center.

Being able to consult with them and consult with other professionals. I am also doing counseling sessions, and just growing more competent in the field.

I am not worried about getting a job after graduation, because I feel that I have gotten a rich experience in being able working with student athletes as a graduate assistant

I had a great intern experience here at the Student Health and Counseling Center, so I'm just ready to take on my skills and put my degree to work.

I would recommend Western Oregon to the student because of the resources that are available to the students to succeed and the one on one relationship with faculty members, and I believe its a good location and good social life here.
