Fairy Geyser has been a consistently active spouting feature that supports an extensive red layer mat. I first surveyed these springs in 1988 and have continued to study them annually since 1998. Fairy springs are off-trail and require navigational skills to find. Fairy has been one of our long-term monitoring sites, with extensive data being gathered annually.
