Hillside Springs consist of three thermal sources that flow out from the prominent off-trail hillside above the region between Biscuit and Black Sand Basins. We have surveyed and sampled these springs annually since 1998. Only the first two springs contain important red layer communities in this study. This data entry refers to Hillside II - the "upper" area nearest the source.
