POLICY

The Division of Extended and Summer Studies (DESS) will be responsible 
for all self-supporting educational programs both on and off campus.

    PURPOSE

Self-supporting programs both credit and non-credit in a variety of formats 
will be coordinated through the Division of Extended and Summer Studies.

    PROCEDURES

Staff members planning to offer a program in a self-supporting format 
should contact the Division of Extended and Summer Studies for 
assistance.  The Division will offer assistance in a variety of areas in the 
planning and delivery of a program.

    AUTHORITY

Offices of the President, Provost and Vice President for Administration, 
Finance, and Human Resources.

    APPROVAL

Provost and the Director of the Division of Extended and Summer Studies.
