POLICY
It is the policy of the Western Oregon University Physical Plant to require that
all state equipment and property be processed and treated in a uniform and
approved manner.
PURPOSE
To preserve the public trust by eliminating the reality and/or perception
that an employee is using State equipment/property for personal use.
To ensure that the disposition of all surplus material, supplies and
equipment is processed and treated in a uniform and approved manner.
PROCEDURES
Persons wishing to remove equipment or supplies from the campus
must receive prior approval from their supervisor and shall only be
used in the furtherance of that person's job duties, for example laptop
computer taken home in order to finish typing department report.
The disposal of all surplus materials, supplies and equipment shall
follow State guidelines where applicable.

APPROVAL
President, Vice President for Administration, Finance, and Human Resources,
and the Physical Plant.
