| Description: |
Presented as part of The Tournees Festival, a program of the French American Cutlural Exchange.
Summary: In 1644, Jean Baptiste Poquelin, also known as Moli¿re, is only twenty two, his illustrious Theater Troupe is bankrupt, and he is thrown into jail. When the jailers finally let him go, he disappears. Taking this mystery as his starting point, Laurent Tirard concocted an elaborate historical fiction. It is from this tale that Moli¿re, the great dramatist, is born.
