SUMMARY

It is recognized that creative works can be controversial and that any given item may offend some individuals. Therefore, material selections are not made on the basis of any anticipated approval or disapproval, but solely on the merits of the work in relation to the building of the collection and to serving the interest of the university community.

Western Oregon University provides material in an atmosphere where the free individual can examine many points of view and make his/her own decisions.

 

PROCEDURES

Any member of the campus community is welcome to express his or her opinion of materials housed in the Library.
