The idea came from our department head Tim Cowart in a way to

I think the best thing about this event is that it gives our students

a chance to engage in live performance during this really

tricky time where that's big missing part of their experience.

And so it's really exciting that they have this opportunity

to share what they've been working on.

Dance Out Day gives us dance majors a chance to come out

It's a performative experience for all of us because due to covid

in the previous months we haven't been able to perform.
