SOAR is WOU's orientation program for admitted freshman enrolling in fall term.

We know that parents and family members play an important role in each student's college search and selection process.

SOAR offers sessions and activities for students, parents and family members. One of the most important activities at SOAR is advising and registration.

Students work directly with our faculty, advising staff and peer leaders to develop a schedule and register for fall term.

Prior to attending SOAR, freshman may also register for a block schedule.  Block schedule is a guaranteed full time class schedule.

At SOAR, students are allowed to make changes to their block schedule.

Other SOAR activities include a Student Services Fair, PLUS performance, Math placement test, ID cards, and small group discussions.
