fixed the problems. reran the mail connection and 
made a shortcut for powerpoint.

Reopened the task as he has similar problems that 
Joe worked on for him.

1) Shows that he does not have Power Point under 
all programs. "Office xp button says they are not 
installed." Can open PP by opening an old PP file.

2) Explorer wont keep home page he selects. 

3) Outlook frequently (he says about every 5 
messages) freezes. Error reads: unable to access 
search request to the sun global address 
list...server has timed out.

Beverly the Education Secretary called curious 
about our status on getting to this ticket.  Her 
extension is:88322 or 88324.  She'll be out of 
the office until 11:30am.

Start menu is empty, Office suite is gone, 
Outlook profile is missing, the programs are are 
not listed in the 'all programs' and this has 
been going on for two weeks.  Also, can open apps 
through files, but cannot find an icon to open 
the app directly.

ducking in and out, but his computer is on.

User called back inquiring about this. He still 
can't see network drives under my Computer, and a 
number of applications such as Word and 
PowerPoint are not linked too in the start menu.

When he starts up his computer, there are no 
programs listed under the 'start' menu, he has no 
network drives, but files saved to the desktop 
appear and he can access the internet.  He will 
be in and out this morning, but will leave his 
door open and computer on.
