AppleCare called back saying there was liquid 
spillage on the computer voiding warranty.  Cost 
of repair is $774.95.  I called them back to 
decline repair and have laptop sent back to us.

Called Angie Barry and explained the issue.  She 
forwarded me information from the last two people 
that checked out the laptop.  She believes it 
would be the latter of the two that might have 
spilled something on the laptop.  That person 
checked the laptop out June 6 at 1pm and didnt 
return the laptop until the 9th at which point 
mentioned the laptop would not charge.

The laptop is in a black case by Lori's desk.

Craig tested it out also. He was able to get the
charger working with other laptops, but the
problem laptop will still not charge.

This computer's charger did not work with a
working macbook, nor did a good charger work with
this laptop.  Possible bad charger and bad
port/battery.

It is still under warranty till August of this
year so call it in to Service Request(8-8925) they
will need laptop and adapter for troubleshooting
for W#20110025[Edit Inv].  They will work with Apple to get
a replacement.

Hi Tricia,

 

Mac laptop 2011-0025 that we check out to students
is not charging. I am assuming the charger is bad.
Is it possible this is under warranty or do I need
to order a new charger?
